Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) was established in 1979 by an Act of Parliament under Cap 441 of the Laws of Kenya.

Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) is one of the six
Regional Development Authorities whose jurisdiction area is confined to North Western Kenya covering 107, 759.18 Square Kilometers i.e 16% of the Kenya’s land mass.

Kerio Valley Development Authority covers the counties of:

  1. Turkana
  2. West Pokot
  3. Elgeiyo Marakwet
  4. Baringo
  5. Parts of Samburu and Nakuru
